BOSTON (WHDH) - David Ortiz is larger than life in Boston, responsible for some of the most iconic Red Sox moments ever.
Now, Big Papi could get a life-sized tribute.
A daily Red Sox newsletter, “Sox Lunch,” is campaigning for Ortiz to be immortalized as a bronze statue outside of Fenway Park.
If commissioned, Papi would join the ranks of Boston greats: Bobby Orr, Red Auerbach, Bill Russell and Ted Williams.
