BOSTON (WHDH) — Reports say the Clippers have agreed in principle, for a deal to bring Celtics Coach Doc Rivers to Los Angeles.
The Clippers will surrender a first round draft pick for Doc, who's set to sign a 3-year, $21 million deal.
Other reports say that draft choice will be an unprotected pick in 2015. The NBA still has to sign off on the trade. And earlier in the week, the league indicated that it would veto a deal of Doc and Kevin Garnett for a package of picks & players.
But since this deal would only be for the coach, it's a different scenario.
