It was such a bright, dry start…then the clouds moved in and the downpours popped up. Can’t get any peace these days.

Thankfully, these downpours don’t jeopardize the weekend forecast, but the clouds that accompanied them will still be around when we get up in the morning. Onshore (really northeast) winds promise that. There might even be a few showers/sprinkles fizzling out in the early morning before we can call off this mini event and get on with our weekend.

With those cool ocean winds persisting into the day, highs will only manage to make it into the 60s – at best. Along the coast, we’ll stay in the upper 50s – hardly a beach day. But I think you could push the beach issue Sunday. Highs recover to the low/mid 70s with a kindler, gentler onshore breeze from late morning on.

We’ll build off the weekend warmth on Monday as we head near or north of 80! Warmth should be snuffed out by midweek as another weather system brings the cool onshore winds and a band of showers into Southern New England.

Make it a great weekend and be safe!

Pete
