JAMAICA PLAIN, Mass. (WHDH) — A Jamaica Plain restaurant’s Facebook page was flooded with negative reviews from Donald Trump supporters after an employee wrote an anti-Trump message on his personal page.

At around 9 p.m. Tuesday, Centre Street Cafe owner Keith Harmon said he received a one-star review on the restaurant’s page. Then, dozens more started coming up. The reviews complained of bad food and service and Harmon described some others as homophobic, explicit and even dangerous.

Harmon said he found out one of his sous chefs made an anti-Trump post on his personal page that referenced a Trump rally in Boston. Harmon believes some Trump supporters found out where he worked and flooded their Facebook page with the negative reviews.

“It’s disturbing to me that in a time like this, something on someone’s personal page could jump over to something completely unrelated,” said Harmon.

The Jamaica Plain community stepped in to help, leaving positive reviews for Centre Street Cafe to offset the negative ones. Harmon said he also spoke with police.
