Good news for customers of an Oxford home heating oil company who say the supplier left them in the cold this winter! A 7News exclusive investigation first uncovered the situation and today the Massachusetts Attorney General announced some customers will be getting refunds!

Customers like this one, afraid to appear on camera, told us she paid Action Oil of Oxford thousands of dollars in advance for home heating oil, and one night she came home to find her furnace off-because her tank was empty. When she complained, she says the company STILL didn't deliver, instead it cancelled her contract and kept her money. She's just one of the victims who complained to the Massachusetts Attorney General's office-which is now taking "action" against the company.

Martha Coakley, MA Attorney General: "Our allegations are that he has treated customers unfairly, that he has attempted to take advantage of them in ways we believe are against the law."

And restitution is on the way. A judge ordered Action Oil to pay refunds to customers for any oil they pre-paid but did not receive.

The Attorney General is also seeking restitution for other victims.
