Rhett joined WHDH as a Sports Reporter in May of 2009 from WVUE, the Fox affiliate in his hometown of New Orleans.  Prior to his eight months in the Crescent City, Rhett spent two years as the Sports Director at the CBS affiliate (KLBK) in Lubbock, Texas.

A graduate of Indiana University, Rhett received a B.S. in Sports Broadcasting in 2005 and a M.S. in Sports Administration in 2006.  During his time at IU, Rhett competed as a Wide Receiver for the Hoosier football team.  Instead of number of wins or receptions, playing for 3 different head coaches in 5 years is perhaps the most telling stat of Rhett’s football career.

In Rhett’s first three days in Boston, he watched the Bruins rattle off two straight wins to tie their Eastern Conference Semi-Final series with Carolina while simultaneously witnessing the Celtics pull off some late-game heroics to win Games four and five of their Eastern Conference Semi-Final series against Orlando. Not a bad first few days. Rhett looks forward to more ‘typical’ Boston sports days.

When not at the game, you can catch Rhett jogging the Charles River or feebly attempting to navigate the streets of Boston on foot.
