PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WHDH) –The Watertown Police Department marched alongside several other Massachusetts police departments in a Rhode Island parade that honors fallen officers.
The annual parade honors officers who lost their lives the previous year.
“A lot of this parade is honoring officers who made the ultimate sacrifice and our officers were lucky enough to pull through that. Some of the other departments weren’t as lucky and their officers were probably just as brave as ours and they probably fought just as hard,” said Lt. Christopher Munger of the Watertown Police Department.
In 2012, a total of 120 officers lost their lives nationwide.
