Rochester police are investigating a car crash that occurred early Saturday morning.

According to police, officials responded to Rochester Hill Road near the intersection of Tebbetts Road for a report of a single car crash around 4:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found a car in the southbound lane with significant damage.

The driver, 48-year-old Scott Fewless of Rochester was found in the back seat. 

Fewless had to be extricated from the car by Rochester Fire.

He was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation showed Fewless had been traveling northbound on Rochester Hill Road when he lost control and spun around. The passenger side of the car struck a tree and stone wall on the southbound side of the road.

The crash remains under investigation.
