ROCKLAND, MASS. (WHDH) - Police released a sketch of a man who they say tried to break into a home in Rockland.

According to investigators, a 13-year-old boy was inside the home and saw the man trying to pick the lock with a knife.

“I was just really scared because I knew if he saw me he’d try to hurt me or take me somewhere and I didn’t want that to happen,” Brody Davis said.

Brody took off, and he said the man tried to catch him. Brody was able to get to a friend’s house nearby, and he said the suspect ran into the woods.

Despite the terrifying situation, Brody was still able to give police a detailed description of the man with the knife, which helped police put together a sketch of the suspect.

The suspect was described as being around six feet tall with a red beard and a scar on his right leg. Brody said he was wearing a long-sleeved black leather jacket and camouflage shorts.

Police are asking anyone with any information to contact them.
