BOSTON (WHDH) - Sabra Dipping Company has issued a recall of some of its hummus and spreads because of possible listeria contamination.

Consumers were told to discard any product with a “best before” date through Jan. 23, 2017 on the lid.

Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems.
