A murky start yields to breaks of sun and scattered showers and thunderstorms today.  Yes, a bit of everything is in the forecast. Downpours aren’t as numerous as yesterday, so it’s important to remember while there is rain in the forecast, we’ll catch some dry hours through the day too.  My best advice is just keep an eye to the sky if you have outdoor activities planed.  There may be a half hour or an hour when you have to take it inside to let a storm pass.  Storms this afternoon are the hit or miss type, but thanks to a fair amount of instability, one or two of these storms may produce gusty winds and a burst of heavy rain, especially across southeast Mass.

Storms slide east this evening and as humidity lowers, comfy weather settles in for the rest of the weekend, just in time for Dad’s big day.  Father’s Day features low humidity, a blend of sun and clouds and highs near 80.  Sea breezes keep it a bit cooler at the coast, but a great day overall if you’re hitting the golf course, heading to Fenway or hanging out by the grill.

Warmth continues to build into early next week with a couple chances of scattered storms.  One Tuesday and one Wednesday.

Have fun this weekend and Happy Father’s Day to all you dads out there.
