Scientists have figured out a way to make milk stay fresh longer.
Experts at Purdue University have developed a new method of killing the bacteria that causes the milk to go bad.
Typically, pasteurization is done by using a high-temperature, short treatment of 161 degrees for 15 seconds, or a low-temperature, longer treatment of 145 degrees for 30 seconds.
But a new method developed by the Purdue scientists involves spraying droplets through a heated, pressurized chamber, exposing them to a shorter treatment of just 0.02 seconds.
According to officials, the new technique will allow milk to stay fresh for more than two months.
