A tree fell on wires on the Green Line tracks during Friday’s winter storm causing commuting delays.
At around 2 p.m., buses began replacing train service between the Newton Highlands and Kenmore stops on the D branch of the Green Line after a tree fell on wires near Newton Highlands stop, according to the MBTA.
Green Line D branch service will remain suspended into the evening.
Shuttle buses will continue to replace trains while crews work to remove the trees and make repairs to overhead wires and signal cables.
