BOSTON (WHDH) - Several skimmer devices were discovered on credit card payment machines at the Primark department store in Downtown Crossing.
Skimmer devices are used to steal customers’ credit card data.
Primark said the devices were removed from the affected machines the day they were discovered and police were contacted immediately.
Not all card transactions at Primark were affected but anyone who used a credit or debit card at Primark starting on July 29 may have been impacted. Customers are advised to check their credit and debit statements for any suspicious activity.
