Residents in Plymouth said they were caught off-guard after Saturday’s storm brought stronger winds and more snow than originally anticipated.

"I really didn’t think it was going to be this bad, so I really didn’t prepare," said Sadie Pimentel.

When the snowstorm moved in Saturday afternoon, roads got slick in a matter of minutes. Police responded to at least one crash and other drivers found themselves getting stuck in slush. Main roads in the city have since been cleared and plows are going to remain out through the night.

The biggest problem in Plymouth was the wind. Gusts were measured as high as 40 miles per hour and at one point, nearly 900 customers were without power. The wind also blew the snow around, creating drifts.
