STOW, Mass  (WHDH) — An incident at the Honey Pot Hill Orchards in Stow Saturday turned sour after a family was accused of not paying for apples.

Four women and their young children spent hours and an estimated $150.00 at the Honey Pot Hill orchard in Stow when they say an employee accused them of stealing.

“I couldn’t understand why we were targeted in that kind of a way “ said one of the women involved in the incident.

Andrew Martin, who owns the orchard,  says he was only making sure the family paid for the items.

“We just wanted to make sure they had bags for the apples.  They would not let us check it out. ” said Martin.

Both the women and Andrew called the police.  Stow Police say they are still investigating and Andrew Martin will be charged with disorderly conduct for jumping on to side of vehicle.
