Around these parts, late October is known for some big storms……Perfect Storm back in ’91….Snowtober in 2011 when western/central New England buried in 2-3 feet of heavy wet snow, a year later Hurricane Sandy whiplashed us and this week…the Ghost of Patrica with rain & wind. Thankfully, we’ll close October with some ….wait for it…..spook-tacular weather.
Back to reality today as temps start and finish like they should for late October under a partly sunny sky my only knock on the day would be a leftover breeze but Friday sunshine trumps any breeze out there. Good day if you’re heading up to Salem. No tricks for Halloween with mostly sunny skies and little to no wind. By afternoon the sun begins to put on its ghost costume—err….some thin cirrus clouds with temps reaching the low 50s. Plan on crisp, dry air tomorrow evening but with no wind, we’re #winning (throw in some candy & it’s world domination)
Sunday starts a new month but our pattern begins to go in another direction–backwards. Warmer air slowly streams in here and that changing of the guard means quite a few clouds but dry despite the clouds. Temps on Sunday reach the upper 50s. Sunday also marks the end of Daylight Saving time so flip the clocks back 1 hour (also check the smoke and co detectors) and get ready for that 4:38pm sunset.
Next week looks mild & dry. be safe this weekend but have fun!
