Police are searching for a man they say robbed a bank on Monday. 

At around 10:20 p.m. officers responded to the Bank of America at 323 Main St. for a report of a robbery. 

Police say the suspect gave the bank teller a handwritten note demanding cash and fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his 40s, around 5’8" with a thin build, gray facial hair, wire-rimmed glasses and a blue hooded sweatshirt.

The suspect was also wearing dark pants. 

Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating the robbery.
