(WHDH) — Researchers in Texas say a survey indicates that spanking could lead to future violent tendencies.

As part of the study, more than 750 people, who were either 19 or 20 years old, were asked how often they were spanked or slapped as children.

The lead author says kids who received corporal punishment were more likely to commit dating violence when they’re young adults.
