The calendar flips to September tomorrow, but the weather flips back to mid summer today and stays in mid summer mode over the next week.

Despite battling the clouds through much of the day, temps do warm into the mid 80s with some breaks of hazy sun.  Dew points head back up toward 70 too this afternoon… quite sticky for sure.

With the summertime humidity and warmth, also comes the summertime storms late this afternoon and this evening.  A few of these storms may be locally strong/severe with gusty winds and heavy rain, so it’s worth keeping an eye to the sky and an eye on the radar if you have that cookout planned later today or early this evening.  I’ll do my best late-day to update you through twitter as well through @clamberton7.  Most storms are after 5:00PM in eastern Mass, but could start a bit early north and west of 495.

Storms rumble through this evening and fade overnight, leaving areas of fog and a sticky air mass still in place overnight.  May be a good night to have the A/C back on with lows in the upper 60s to 70.

Labor Day itself features another mix of clouds and hazy sun.  A passing shower or storm is possible too, but I still expect quite a few dry hours through the day too.  Highs top off in the mid 80s.

Highs soar into the upper 80s to near 90 Tuesday with a day’s end storm possible, however, much of the time is dry.

The week overall is warm with slightly lowering humidity Wednesday-Thursday before dew points spike back up to end the week.  We may also approach the highs 80s to 90 again by Friday or Saturday.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
