NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — A man wanted in connection with the fatal weekend shooting of his wife and an Amber Alert in Connecticut has been captured in Massachusetts.

Police say 36-year-old Patrick Miles was caught Wednesday morning in West Springfield, Massachusetts.

He is a suspect in the shooting of 33-year-old Yasheeka Miles in New Britain.

She was found dead in the bedroom of her home with a gunshot wound to the head late Friday night.

Police quickly identified Patrick Miles as a suspect, and determined he had left the scene with the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Paisley, sparking an Amber Alert.

The child was located with relatives in New York City at about 4 a.m. Saturday.

Patrick Miles faces arraignment on a fugitive charge in Massachusetts. It was not clear if he had a lawyer.
