BOSTON (WHDH) - Boston Police said an Uber driver crashed an SUV into a house in Beacon Hill Wednesday.

The crash happened on Grove Street, right past the intersection with Myrtle Street. The SUV crashed into the building next to a garage entrance. Witnesses said the SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed and police are investigating if the SUV was involved in a hit-and-run on Cambridge Street.

Officials said a house’s pantry was behind the wall that was hit. Nobody was home at the time.

The driver and passenger in the SUV were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. A tow truck has removed the SUV from the wall carefully to ensure the entire wall did not crash down.
