A driver lost control in Salem, New Hampshire and ended up slamming into a telephone pole.

The crash on Route 28 late Monday afternoon split the pole in two.

Police arrested the 18-year-old driver, charging her with driving under the influence and reckless driving.

One southbound lane had to be closed for several hours while crews replaced the pole.
