A telephone pole came crashing down on a car in Dorchester on Friday.
The driver was trapped in inside the car.
The electrical wires were still live.
Eversource had to come out and shut the power off so the driver could be rescued.
He was taken to a nearby hospital.
Eversource said the power should be back on in the area within the hour.
