A change in a traffic plan caused some Merrimack voters to wait for hours in the cold to cast their ballot in Tuesday’s presidential primary election.

Some voters reported waiting around 90 minutes in a traffic jam at the town’s only polling place, Merrimack High School.

Officials say a change in a traffic plan caused the long lines.

Moderator Lynn Christensen said, "We tried to tweak it. The way we did it this time failed miserably."
