Tree comes down, crushes cars in Boston’s South End

BOSTON (WHDH) - A tree crashed down on top of a couple of cars in Boston’s South End on Thursday morning.

The incident happened on East Brookline Street, not far from Boston Medical Center.

A woman who lives nearby said she heard cracking noises coming from the tree Wednesday night. She said she called the city and put warning signs on lampposts and nearby cars because she did not want anyone getting hurt.

Boston Police said no injuries were reported. Crews and heavy equipment were on scene and removed the tree just after noon.
