Uber drivers in Charlotte, North Carolina have come up with a unique way to keep inebriated passengers from distracting the driver.

In a press release that details new attempts to make rides safer for drivers and passengers, Uber noted that, in Charlotte, drivers have begun using the popular 90’s toy, Bop-It.

Drivers place the game in the backseat, so that when they pick up passengers who have had too much to drink – and may not realize to what extent they’re bothering the driver – the drunk passengers can be entertained.

The release also notes that driver’s speed patterns have been noted, and other safety measures are being implemented to help drivers reduce the amount of incidents on the road.

The full release, posted by Uber’s Chief Security Officer, can be found here.
