AMHERST, MASS. (WHDH) - UMass Amherst will honor murdered journalist James Foley this week.

As part of the two-day event, Foley’s parents will speak at the school.

Foley earned a master’s degree at UMass.

He went to Syria in 2012 to cover the war, but was captured and killed by ISIS militants two years later.
