Bill aimed to cut down opioid abuse heads to president’s desk

A bill aimed at cutting down on opioid abuse in the U.S. will now go before the president.

The senate approved the bill Wednesday by an overwhelming number.

If signed, it would create grants and other programs that are designed to address drug abuse.

Overdoses are blamed for tens of thousands of deaths in the U.S. each year.
