The FBI is saying they have not found any evidence that Omar Mateen had gay lovers or used gay dating apps.
Some people have come forward saying they saw Mateen visit the club multiple times in the past, and had communicated with him on gay dating apps. One man claimed to have had sex with him.
Investigators say they have determined none of these claims are credible.
Mateen opened fire early Sunday morning on June 12 in Pulse Nightclub.
He killed 49 people and hurt more than 50 others.
Police later shot and killed him in stand-off that lasted three hours.
In phone calls to police, Mateen claimed he carried out the shooting in allegiance to Isis.
