The man convicted of the attempted murder of George Zimmerman was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Monday.

Matthew Apperson, 38, shot at Zimmerman in a road rage incident and was convicted in September.

Zimmerman is the former neighborhood watch volunteer who was acquitted of murder after shooting and killing a black teenager, Trayvon Martin, in 2012.
