PLYMOUTH, MASS. (WHDH) - Southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, most of Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut are under winter storm warnings for much of Friday.

On Cape Cod, the snow is not sticking to the roadways, but it is accumulating.

The weather service is forecasting 6 to 10 inches of snow on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket; 4 to 8 inches in Rhode Island; and 4 to 7 inches in Connecticut’s New London County. The Boston area is expected to get an inch or so.

As of noon Friday, East Sandwich has over 5 inches of snow and Brewster has over three inches. South Dennis had nearly 5 inches.

Bay Staters on Cape Cod said the heavy snow is just another nuisance as spring looms.
