PHOENIX (WHDH) — A new buzzer bracelet that helps children with autism focus and concentrate is being called a “game changer” by one Arizona mother.

Jacob Holma was having trouble concentrating at school, saying he would be distracted by stories he would make up in his head. Sometimes, it would get so bad he would start pacing and leave his classroom. His mother Sherri Holma said different therapies and medications would not help him but now they have a bracelet, called Buzzies.

Dr. Amy Serin developed Buzzies, saying the bilateral stimulation interferes with the body’s stress response.

“We can give people access to stress relief all around the world and have more peace, better performance,” said Serin.

Users wear Buzzies like a watch or in their pocket. It is controlled with a phone app.
