We could use the rain, and this morning, we have the rain.  Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms have produced localized downpours and woke some of us up early this morning as thunder rattled a few homes.  Hopefully you did get enough shut eye.

While we do get some rain this morning, the showers and storm are in and out, and become few and far between by late morning and this afternoon.  That means while I can’t rule out another passing shower form lunch to dinner, you’ll also get in your storm free hours too.  Highs today are a struggle, only a couple degrees either side of 60 thanks to a persistent onshore breeze.

Tomorrow, we flip the switch.  Summah time is on!  Highs reach the mid to upper 80s with lots of sunshine and a west wind.  Yes, even the city of Boston will be well into the 80s.

The warm air continues through Saturday, but not through the weekend.  A backdoor front cools us back to near 70 Sunday and Monday with cooler temps along the coast.  While I don’t see a lot of rainy hours through the weekend, there will be a few showers/thunderstorm chances.  Friday morning could have a few showers, Saturday afternoon/evening will likely feature scattered storms with a cold front.  A few showers may linger overnight Saturday into Sunday morning before mainly dry conditions prevail Sunday afternoon and Monday.  This fronts and the timing of them are tricky, so keep updated on the forecast if you have plans!
