WESTFIELD, Mass. (AP) — Nearly 200 students at Westfield State University have signed up for a day of community service for businesses and organizations in Westfield.

Helping Out Our Town Day will be held Tuesday. This is the seventh consecutive year that students have volunteered to help out local businesses.

The student volunteers will be painting, gardening, cleaning and performing other services throughout Westfield. Hosting businesses include the Amelia Park Children’s Museum, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield, Westfield City Parks and Westfield City Hall.

The day’s activities will begin with a brief ceremony on the city’s Green.
