WORCESTER, MASS. (WHDH) - Police in Worcester arrested a man following a bank robbery on Park Ave on Friday.
Police responded to the TD North Bank at 295 Park Ave on Friday evening following a report of an armed robbery. Witnesses told police that a masked man had robbed the bank at gunpoint, then fled in a black Toyota Corolla.
Officers quickly found the suspect’s vehicle on Allendale Street and found the suspect shortly thereafter, sprinting up Ethan Allen Street. Officers chased the man to an apartment building on Main Street. After a brief scuffle, the suspect pulled out a gun, but officers were able to knock it away and tackle the man to the ground.
Officers eventually arrested David Menjivar, 24 of Worcester. He has been charged with armed robbery and several weapons charges.
