CAMBRIDGE, MASS. (WHDH) - A Newton boy battling cancer was welcomed to the Harvard University football team Friday as an honorary member.
Daniel Grapski, 9, is a big fan of the Crimson and was officially made a member of the team. Daniel signed a letter of intent at an official press conference.
“To see someone on a daily basis have to deal with all the incredible challenges that Daniel and his family go through and to see them do it with such a positive attitude and such impressive resiliency is tremendously inspiring for us,” said Harvard Coach Tim Murphy.
Daniel also got his own Harvard jersey and said he will try to make it to every home game this season.
