BOSTON (WHDH) - A 9-year-old girl was shot in Roxbury early Sunday morning.
Police said the child was on a playground on Annunciation Road.
According to police, some kind of party was taking place in an adjacent parking lot.
Someone started firing shots into the crowd–a bullet hit the young girl.
The child was rushed to a local hospital for surgery and is expected to recover.
Mayor Walsh did visit the hospital to visit the girl’s family.
No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
