JOHNSTON, R.I. (WHDH) — Four people were rushed to the hospital Tuesday after a car crash that led to a fire at a gas station in Rhode Island.

The crash happened at a Sunoco gas station on Hartford Avenue in Johnston. Gas station manager Zeshan Abid said another car traveling on the main road crashed into an SUV at the gas station, sending it into one of the gas pumps. The SUV then caught fire.

State Police said two people have life-threatening injuries and the other two people were seriously injured. The four people were injured in the crash, not the fire. The owner of the SUV was inside the store paying for her gas when the crash happened.
