Red Sox slugger David Ortiz said he is expecting an unusual welcome from Yankees fans for his final regular season series in New York.

Papi revealed the apparent plan while appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

He said he believes 50,000 fans plan to “moon” him during the series.

Ortiz penned a thank-you letter Tuesday to the Yankees on The Players’ Tribune.

The letter reflects on Ortiz’s personal life and career, threading his appreciation for the rivalry between Boston and New York throughout.

“When I’m standing in the on-deck circle and I hear all those boos, I get this feeling I can’t even describe. I’m so focused. My adrenaline goes through the roof. I’m totally locked in. The intensity is just not the same against another team.

Some players are born to be Yankees, you know what I’m saying?

I was born to play against the Yankees.”

The Sox take on the Yankees Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
