BOSTON (WHDH) - According to ESPN: the NFLPA’s request to give Tom Brady an extension to appeal his reinstated “Deflategate” four-game suspension has been granted.

Brady and his lawyers now have extra two weeks, until Monday, May 23 to decide whether to appeal the reinstatement.

On April 25, a federal court reinstated Brady’s suspension.

In the filing, the NFL Players Association said it needs “additional time to coordinate and consult with its leadership bodies and members.”

Brady’s team also added high profile attorney Theodore Olson to his defense team. Olson has argued 62 cases in the Supreme Court, including the two Bush V. Gore cases.
