The Patriots are days away from heading out to Glendale to face the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX, but it’s the stories of how they got here that has people excited.

Thursday afternoon Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman posted a TBT video showing members of the Patriots organization growing up in and around football.

“I can remember being in a diaper running around football practice and dreaming for the opportunity to play in a Super Bowl,” Edelman said.

Edelman’s video features a young Tom Brady and a fresh faced Bill Belichick. We got nostalgic with other patriots asking when they fell in love with the game.

“Probably when I saw the Dallas Cowboys back in the day when they had Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith,” Darrell Revis said. “Then I went to try out for football at 7 years old. After that I just fell in love with the corner position and fell in love with the game.”

Rob Gronkowski might be a softy posing with kittens now, but in high school he was all about the big hits.

“You know in high school a big hit was better than a touchdown so everyone would go crazy, so that’s when I fell in love with the game,” he said. “From freshman year all the way to my senior year times when there were big hits and all 25 of us on the squad in high school would just go crazy because it was a big hit.”
