PONTIAC, MICHIGAN (NBC) — Emergency crews rushed to a water tower in Pontiac, Michigan to save two trapped workers.

Firefighters say the equipment supporting the workers malfunctioned while they were paining the inside of the tower.

Crews were able to get the men out after about an hour.

One of the victims was taken off and life flighted to a hospital.

Both men were believed to be seriously injured.
