Surveillance cameras at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery in England captured a strange scene of a helium-filled balloon floating around its exhibition rooms.
The video was recorded on June 4th.
The yellow goggle-wearing cartoon character, from the ‘Despicable Me’ franchise, was seen slowly floating around the museum.
It roamed the halls until it became stuck on a ceiling.
Museum staff said they were waiting for the balloon to lose its helium and fall to the ground.
That eventually occurred as the security team locked up for the night.
The video featuring the ghostly creature is rapidly becoming an internet sensation.
It has been viewed and shared by thousands of people on social media websites.
