SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA (NBC) A raging wildfire is threatening homes in Sydney Australia.
the fire was burning ferociously in high winds Friday, 40 miles west of Sydney’s central business district.
Local media reports the flames are believed to have affected two houses or garages and are close to other homes in that area.
Authorities were concerned the blaze could head toward more populated areas.
Australian media reported that more than 100 firefighters were at the scene trying to control the flames.
