Thanksgiving travel plans should go smoothly today throughout New England! Low pressure that brought us WINDY weather the last few days (and flurries Monday morning), tracks farther northward. Our winds today will be more mild and out of the northwest, and a brief period of high pressure will bring us more sunshine today. Mild winds and sunshine will make today feel more pleasant than yesterday.

Cloud cover thickens up into tonight as our next frontal system moves in from the west. This could bring near an inch snow to the Berkshires and Worcester Hills, with the chance for a dusting/coating throughout much of Massachusetts and the Boston metro. The best shot at seeing some flakes will be north of the Mass. Pike and west of the 495 loop. We do have the chance for some drizzle and freezing drizzle mixed in with our flurries. This could cause some slick spots on the roadways, especially Thanksgiving morning.

Rain moves in Thanksgiving evening, and we’re off to the races with soggy late November weather. Light rain and drizzle continue into Friday with the likely chance for rain into Saturday. We could still have some wet weather to contend with into Sunday as well, with temperatures trending below normal through the weekend.

Wishing you safe Thanksgiving travels!
