After a week of relatively mild weather, it won’t take long this week to feel the full force of Fall as highs struggle to get close to the average high of the upper 50s on much of the 7 day forecast ahead. The chilliest air resides tomorrow and Wednesday with many towns not even hitting the 50 degree mark!

While we have the chill of Fall, we don’t deal with a ton of prolonged rainy periods this week, although a few shower chances roll in from time to time. The first batch of showers is this morning across Southeast Mass, although they are in and out quickly with little rain left over after 8 or 9am this morning. A second, and more widespread rain chance, enters in Thursday afternoon and Thursday night. This batch will likely be the best chance for a widespread 0.50-1.00″ of rain with the heaviest falling Thursday night. Another batch of showers, with lighter totals likely slides through Saturday afternoon or Saturday  night.

The story line of the week through will be the chillier air with highs in the 40s or 50s for much of the week with mid to upper 40s Tuesday and Wednesday.

Enjoy the Fall weather, hard to believe Halloween is just a week from today!
