Temperatures start out varied this Cyber Monday, with a number of spots west of the 495 loop in the upper-20s.  The Cape & Islands can expect a few additional ocean effect clouds this morning, which will scoot out as winds pick up out of the west. Today will be a great day to spend some extra time outside, and enjoy the sunshine! High pressure dominates New England’s weather pattern today, making for a sunny and seasonable forecast. Plus it won’t be too windy, so I expect today will feel more pleasant than yesterday.

After today, we have some drought relief on the way! Cloud cover increases tonight out ahead of our next frontal system. As a warm front pushes through Southern New England Tuesday, we are looking at the likely chance for much needed rain. Unlike the drizzly weather we saw last week, this week’s rainfall will bring more impressive rainfall totals. Temperatures will trend above normal tomorrow through Thursday, but we’ll also see winds kick it up a notch. We’ve got a second chance at some soaking rainfall Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning. Rainfall totals between now and Thursday morning look to fall between 1.25-2.00” for most locations, with a few spots grabbing up to around 3″.

Enjoy your dry & sunny Monday!!
