Whether you call it a top 10 day, or give it an A grade, today will feature enjoyable weather for much of New England as the combination of Summer sunshine and Fall humidity allows for a very comfortable day.  In fact, early this morning, with such low humidity in place, we’re off to a chilly start with the temps outside the city running in the upper 40s and 50s. Left the windows open last night?  May be a little too cool inside the house, extra blanket anyone?

As more sunshine than clouds prevail today, temps warm up quite nicely.  We’ll reach the low to mid 80s for many towns, although coastal locations likely kick back into the mid to upper 70s as seabreezes push in.  Still warm enough for the beach or pool but cool enough to be comfortable on ball fields and golf courses.

Tonight we fall back into the 50s and 60s and tomorrow we’ll enjoy more low humidity.  Although the humidity remains low, the temperatures don’t as highs run into the upper 80s to near 90. Nice beach or pool day for sure!

Friday we’ll start to increase the humidity and increase the risk of storms.  We’ll have to keep an eye on the set-up Friday afternoon and evening as the pattern puts much of New England in a position that’s prone to strong storms.  Whether the instability, higher heat, higher humidity, and supportive wind profiles of the atmosphere can all time out to deliver those big storms remains to been seen, but it’s worth watching for now.  The Storm Prediction Center out of Oklahoma for now has place New England under a “Slight Risk” for severe storms on Friday.

The weekend features more heat, and while much of the weekend remains dry, a few isolated storms can’t be ruled out.   More favoring that possibility on Saturday vs. Sunday, although the chance is not all that high.  Temps will be high, low 90s on average.
