Shooting at the Rio Olympics kicks off at 7:30 a.m. with Women’s 10m air rifle qualifications, and the final at 9:30 a.m. 

Yi Siling (China), who won gold in the London 2012 competition, looks to get back onto the podium. Serbian Andrea Arsovic will look to build on her gold medal performance at the 2015 European Games.

Sarah Scherer and Virginia Thrasher will represent the United States in the competition. 

The second and final competition of the day is Men’s 10m air pistol, with qualifications starting at noon, and the final beginning at 2:30 p.m.

South Korea’s Jin Jong-oh is the reigning gold medalist for the event, and will hope to add to his impressive five career Olympic medals.

The United States will be represented by 24-year-old Will Brown, who recently earned a silver medal in the event at a 2016 World Cup in Bangkok. Jay Shi will also compete for the U.S.
